I have been “living the dream” for many years and fully intend to continue doing so until my eventual departure onto a “higher plain” 😊. I have been thinking of sharing some/parts of my travel journal recordings since I retired in 2018 in the hope of exciting someone else’s life through travel. I hope this blog will inspire you and so, instead of dreaming to travel, why don’t you plan to travel…and if you like what you read and it adds more joy to your life, then, as the saying goes, “play it forward” to others….

Come and visit our homeland, the ultimate in everyone’s holiday “bucket list”; home of “laidback”, “barbie”, “clean air & constant sunshine”. Welcome to the oldest continent on earth with its incredibly diverse landscapes, regions, towns and friendly people.

Europe

So delighted in sharing my travels through the land of the oldest civilizations on earth. Composed of a myriad of incredible cultures, amazing beauty, fascinating color, spectacular geography, delicious cuisines and mind-blowing history, our enjoyment traveling through Europe is boundless.
North America

Let’s discover USA and Canada together. These are lands abounding in natural majesties and man-made splendors both beckoning us to explore, experience and enjoy irrespective of whether you’re hugging a sequoia, walking down Manhattan, cruising the Inside Passage or being loud in Hollywood.

Ocean Cruising

Sharing our ocean cruises which we enjoy in medium-sized cruise-ships rather than today’s behemoths of the oceans. To us, they have more personalized touches, tailored shore tours and better equipped staterooms from which to savor unfolding coastlines.

River Cruising

Let us share the wonders we enjoy from meandering along the inland waterways of Europe and other places. For us “gray nomads”, river cruising is the ultimate in serene yet organized exploration as our eyes feast on riverbanks festooned in a kaleidoscope of colour.
