Thru Nannu's eyes: Cruising to Honningsvag....
This leg of our cruising begins in Geiranger Fjord, Norway and extends to Honningsvag in Norway. We’re on board the Viking Sun. We were in Geiranger for 1 day luxuriating in the natural wonders of this land. We visited the famous waterfalls of the Suitor as well as the Seven Sisters & their Bridal Veil, Bend Road Lookout and Stranda Lake amongst many.
On exiting this fjord we ventured into the Norwegian Sea and sailed to Lofoten on Lofoten Islands and on the way we crossed the Arctic Circle. After 2 days at sea, we spent an amazing day in Lofoten escorted around spectacular scenery.
We sailed away from Lofoten onwards to Tromso, staying in the Norwegian Sea. Another day of astonishing exploration which included Mt Storsteinen and many others.
Leaving Tromso we sailed further north and into the Barents Sea and subsequently arriving at Honningsvag. Whilst only a small town, its sensationally “wild north” encapsulated by the mesmerizing North Cape Globe, Horn of North Cape and other phenomenal sites.
I hope you enjoy this leg of our cruise “thru Nanna’s eyes”….
