Thru Nannu's eyes: Cruising to Tallinn....
This leg of our cruising begins in Stockholm, Sweden and extends to Tallinn in Estonia. We’re on board the Viking Sun. We were in Stockholm for 2 days, taking advantage to explore the old town Gamla Stan, visiting numerous museums such as the VASA, ABBA & Nobel museums and other places of interest, riding the “Blue Tram” to various points and sampling Swedish cuisine from around the foreshore eateries.
As we sailed out we navigated through the Stockholm Archipelago and its thousands of islands, islets and atolls and out into the Baltic Sea. We subsequently berthed in Helsinki, Finland enjoying a day exploring this city including the Sibelius Monument, the Old Market Hall, Senate Square and others.
Later we sailed out into the Gulf of Finland and onto St Petersburg in Russia were we spent 2 thrilling days discovering the wonders of this city including The Hermitage, Peterhof & Catherine Palaces and so many more.
Leaving Russia, we sailed further into the Gulf of Finland and subsequently docked at Tallinn in Estonia. Our day in Tallinn was enchanting as we traversed this “fairy-tale like” city wondering from site to site and immersing ourselves in its history and cuisine.
I hope you enjoy this leg of our cruise “thru Nanna’s eyes”….
