Thru Nannu's eyes: The Rocks - Sydney....

The city of Sydney is the gateway to our homeland Australia and woe befalls anyone thinking or saying “its just another city”.

Sydney is blessed with a magnificently clean & calm harbour, luxuriating sandy beaches, stunningly picturesque foreshores, grand & iconic landmarks in the Botanical Gardens, the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge and a tremendous variety of attractions to suit everyone’s desire be it walking, shopping, dining & entertaining, history & culture, and an endless list of other enjoyments.

Nanna and I often venture into our city for overnight stays. When we do, our favorite area is The Rocks and stay at the Shangri-la Sydney

This area is essentially the “birthplace” of Australia and our “young” history is well preserved and displayed. One can easily spend days exploring the many nooks and crannies of bygone days with an occasional stop at anyone of the numerous iconic pubs for a refreshing ale😊.

The Rocks area is adjacent to a number of other glorious & beckoning Sydney spots including Circular Quay, Darling Harbour, Barrangaroo & Cockle Bay and the revitalized Woolloomooloo Wharf & Finger Wharf.

Whether you are a Sydneysider, an interstate visitor or an international traveler, do yourself a huge favour and set a side time to discover Sydney: our precious backyard😊. I’ve compiled a “photo mosaic” to tease your adventurous DNA….

I hope you enjoy this The Rocks – Sydney “Thru Nannu’s Eyes….”
